Gibraltar

A  25 minute drive will take you to Gibraltar, which can be seen from Duquesa on a clear day. The frontier is at La Linea, it is recommended to leave your car on the Spanish side of customs, by a meter on the side of the road, as customs and queuing is time consuming with a car. In ‘Gib’ you can see the sights, take in the British history and buy your booze and cigarettes very cheaply, or just stroll around the pubs, grab your pints of ale, fish and chips, duty free shopping. The English Bobbies on the beat all contrast with Spanish traditions and don’t really seem to fit in. A cable car runs from just the other side the of the town to the top of the Rock, there you will meet Gibraltar's most famous residents the Barbary apes and see more birds than ever before!
